StudiesTypography, Semi-Fictional Exhibition 2024 In Studies, Shigeki Fujishiro delves into the concept of gaining a perspective of a third person in his process of design work. I envision myself as Shigeki Fujishiro and saw a way to utilize perspective into the arrangement of the typography.

The use of the font Avara aligns with Fujishiro’s concept as the font has been redesigned and altered by multiple designers, embodying a sense of perpetual evolution and refinement. Fujishiro’s works are not definitive or finalized; they represent an ongoing process, akin to the alterations and enhancements of the font Avara.

To fully comprehend Fujishiro’s works, I approached them from an external perspective, much like examining the font Avara from a third-person viewpoint. I chose to retain the crop marks and registration marks in my final outcome as they signify that the work is still in progress. I noticed that Avara visually resembles origami, with its intricate folds and numerous iterations within a single piece of paper. This resemblance symbolizes a journey of transformation and refinement. Fujishiro’s Studies unfolds gradually, with each iteration and development contributing to the
final form, continuously evolving and reshaping, much like the folds of origami.
